Lane Allocation

You can find a breakdown of the lane allocation for both pools here (updated 02.01.26).

The large pool

The pool has a length of 25 meters, which can be divided into 6 lanes. With a temperature of approximately 28 degrees Celsius, it provides an ideal atmosphere for swimming and training. The pool also has varying depths, ranging from 110 cm to 180 cm, providing opportunities for various swimming activities and skill levels. On weekends, an obstacle course is set up in the large pool.

The small pool

In addition to the main pool, the facility also offers an instruction pool. This pool has a length of 12.5 meters and maintains a comfortable temperature of approximately 32 degrees Celsius. Therefore, this pool is excellent for swimming lessons, baby swimming, and families. The depth in the instruction pool varies from 70 cm to 120 cm.

Sauna

In addition to the swimming pools, the facility also offers separate saunas for men and women, located in close proximity to the shower area. These saunas provide visitors with the opportunity to relax and enjoy a soothing experience after a refreshing swim or workout.

Locker Rooms

We provide lockable lockers in the changing rooms. There is no need to bring your own lock as the lockers are secured using a self-generated disposable code. This ensures a convenient experience for all visitors to safely store valuables and clothes during their stay.

Shop

We have a shop in the same area as the ticket counter. The shop has the same opening hours as the ticket counter but closes 1 hour before the pool. Here you can purchase swimwear and other swimming equipment, snacks, fruits, yogurt, and hot and cold drinks, among other items.

Parking

There is free parking in the building's basement. There is an elevator from the basement up to the pool area. There is a designated parking spot for disabled visitors outside the entrance.

House Rules for the Shower Area

  • Use of the Shower: Before entering the pool, your entire body and hair must be washed with soap. Swimwear should be clean and only put on after washing your body. It is not permitted to swim with underwear.

  • Personal Hygiene: Shaving, nail clipping, body peeling, and similar activities should not take place in the swimming facility.

  • Use of the Sauna: When using the sauna, please use a towel. It is not allowed to sit directly on the benches. The sauna is not recommended for people with heart or vascular diseases, diabetes, or during pregnancy.

Backround

Hundsund Bad was built in 2008 with Bærum Municipality as the client. The operation of the facility was awarded to Bassengdrift AS. All shares in Bassengdrift AS are owned by Bærumsvømmerne. We are now in our fourth term, with an operational agreement in place until 2026.
